I am shutting down. I have no excuse, I just don't wanna do it anymore. Thank you for reading.

Lord of the Rings
I went and saw Lord of the Rings: the Musical today. Gorgeous production. I wouldn't want to work on it. So technical, so complicated. The sets are amazing. Hair, makeup and costumes are beautiful.
If I hadn't of seen the movies, I wouldn't have had any idea of the plot.

Red
A friend of mine is getting married in London tomorrow. I'm wearing red. And I'm going to anesthetize myself with enough alcohol that I wont stand up in the middle of it and yell, "Run while you still can," in the deepest Tennessee drawl that I can muster.
Can you tell that I'm looking forward to it? First wedding since the divorce. Arg.
However, I do have good news. I did an email chain mail on Wednesday that said if I sent it to 11 people, then I would get my wish in 4 days. So I'm due to find my true love tomorrow. I can't wait.

This Just In...
I was just over at IMDB, and GWTW the musical is indeed being cut short. It's last showing is June 14th, so you'd better hurry if you wanna see it.
Have I Got News!
The internet is fixed. That's not the news, but it is really great. I've spent hours catching up. Did you know Bo Diddly died?
Anyway, that's not the big news. (Well, I'm sure it's big for some people, but anyway...)
I went and saw Gone With The Wind the Musical!!! Wow! It was really bizarre. It took about a third of the way through it before the shock of not seeing Clarke Gable and Vivienne Leigh wore off. The guy playing Rhett, Darius something or other, was very tall. He spent most of the beginning trying to play Clark Gable playing Rhett Butler, but once he got over it, he was pretty good. He's very nice, too. I happened to be near the theatre about an hour before the show and I got his autograph. He was very pleasant and chatted with several people before he had to go into makeup. The chick playing Scarlett is ok. She's nothing but a beanpole. The songs aren't very memorable. It actually plays a lot like a reader's theatre: everyone is a narrator in the middle of the action. I don't think it will last long here; there's not enough cultural context here. But maybe it will do better in the states.
Go the www.gwtwthemusical.com for more details on the production.
